Marianne and Henrik have 8 children between them, and now the last child has moved out of the house in Store Heddinge. They love the good life with delicious food and family dinners, but suddenly it has hit them that there is a life after the labor market: A life as pensioners, which they have not given much thought or money. But can they "afford" to continue this good life when they retire, or have they started too late?
